Fluid Process: Fluid Process is an interactive sound sculpture that makes music with falling water. Developed over the past nine months, this technology makes its public debut at Eaux Claires III. During the festival, the piece will provide an optional respite from louder acts, as it flows between disordered patterns that resemble rain, and ordered patterns of composed music.

The Pickup Music Project builds large interactive instruments that encourage new ways of engaging with sound. The group derives its name from its initial aim – to make public spaces for pick-up music making, just as public basketball courts allow for pick-up basketball. Since its inception, the Boston-based project has grown into a team whose collective skillset includes woodworking, metalworking, programming, music composition, production, and plumbing. Their work also appeared at Eaux Claires last year with The Musical Fence: Reprise.
